Modern Day hero

Modern Day Hero

Hero, they are the ones who save lives of people who are in danger or in need of help. There are many kinds of heroes; local and international heroes like Superman, Batman and Wolverine. They are the heroes who use their own power to save people. But my hero don’t need any power or weapon, she just used her skills and mind.

I met her when I have only little knowledge. She’s an ordinary person. She guides me in my right way and she stands as my mother, sometimes she does that even if we’re not in school. We spent five days in a week or more. My teacher, she is my hero that I was talking about. She’s my hero in such a way that she saves me in my negative thoughts and she saves me from the wrong path that I was walking through. She taught me of new and good things even if it is hard or easy. Sometimes, she has no time in me because I am not the only one she needs to save. My teacher is my mother and hope. It is because if my real mother has no time to me, she’s there. We spent most of the time instead of the real one. My teacher has done many things and save many student like me who sometimes think to give up. I don’t have an intelligent mind if she’s not there to guide and support me.

Teachers are heroes on their own simple way. You, who’s your hero, is it the local ones or the international ones? Or maybe ordinary people like mine? Well, remember this: “Professionals can’t be called professionals, if not by the help of the teachers.”

Wika Natin ang Daang Matuwid

Every country has its own language that everyone living in this country is using. But a country has different regions or tribes. Every region, they are using their own dialects like Tagalog, Cebuano, Ilocano, Hiligaynon, Waray-waray and many more. In the Philippines, Tagalog is their language even though they have many dialects. But teenagers now are addicted in the languages of other countries.  And because of this, our Tagalog language is not that known to them and only few teenagers know how to speak those deep Tagalog words.
We should use are own languages. We must give importance to it. By this, the progress of our country might increase and some of our countries problem might be solved. And we must not use the languages of the countries because we have our own; we must not ashamed of using it. So, teenagers must have to turn back in using their own languages now than using other languages from other countries.

4th State of the Nation Address
of President Aquino III

Here comes the time again. The time to know what is happening to our country. By the way, do you know what is the meaning of the “State of the Nation Address” and why the President do this? –If I were you, I will do some research now to be aware on this event.

The SONA is done every fourth Monday of July. The President must do this because everyone or every citizen has the right to know if what is going on in our country; whether it is on the “tuwid na daan” or opposite of it. In this SONA, we can hear the things that the President has done in his term and if his promises are done well. The fourth State of the Nation Address of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III started at exactly 4 o’clock in the afternoon. The congressmen and other guests wear elegant and native dresses. President Aquino III tackled about the jobs in our country to decrease the rate of unemployed. He focused on the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino program. While the SONA is going on, there are many happenings that are not expected to be happening. Outside, there are many rallyist who protested. And before the SONA starts, an unexpected scene happens. Rep. Imelda Marcos slipped because of rushing to attend the SONA of the President. His SONA last for one hour and thirty minutes which they said that this is the longest SONA of the President.

We, the citizens of this country must be aware if what is happening to our country. And we should watch the SONA of the President, which is his report for what he had done for our country and countrymen. We should be conscious of this report because it only happens once a year. So be AWARE!!!
“Gutom  at Malnutrisyon,
Sama-sama nating Wakasan”

Teenagers now have many likes or interests, in food or things; “play here, play there; eat here, eat there”. They are making some acts but they don’t know if what its outcome is. Just like in food, they are eating different foods and buy somewhere. They don’t know if these foods are done or made in a clean process and they don’t know if what its effect on their health is.
The population of country now are getting bigger and because of this, there will be a shortage of supply and poverty. There will be many people who will starve and they will be force to buy cheap foods; foods that are not nutritious. While it’s getting longer, they will be encourage to eat this foods because this are the only food that they can afford but they don’t know that they become malnourished. This situation is usually experienced by the people living in a squatter area and those poor people.
Malnutrition and starvation; this are also a big problem in our country. Being a citizen of this country, I don’t want that there will be many people who will experience starvation and malnutrition. How can we end or stop this problem? If we work together, we can easily end this problem. One way is to have feeding programs and teach them how to prevent this. And when we eat in carinderia’s, you must be sure enough that it is clean and we must choose those nutritious foods like fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, etc. instead of junk foods that has no vitamins.
If you’re not eating fruits or vegetables, change now before it’s too late. Don’t join in the list of those people who are suffering from starvation and malnutrition. Instead, join or help in ending this so that no one will suffer it again.

Letter to the President

                                                                                                                Paing,Bantay,
                                                                                                                     Ilocos Sur
                                                                                                                        June 25,2013

Honorable President Benigno Aquino III
    MalacaƱang Palace
         Manilla, Philippines

Dear Mr. President:

First and for most, I would like to congratulate you Sir for being a leader to our country and wish you a good day Sir. And it is my pleasure to make a letter to you Sir.By the way Sir, I am a student of Ilocos Sur national High School from the City of Vigan.
I wrote this letter for some concerns about the environment of our country. We all know that we are rich in natural resources but we don't know how to use this in a right way. Because of this habits, our resources are merely destroyed and when there are calamities like typhoon that come in our country, people in the area where typhoon strikes are easily affected. There are other problems of our country that we have to focus on but the situation said a while ago was the one we will put on our attention because in this situation, lives are the most targeted or in danger when calamities come. So, we must think of a solution or way that will increase the assurance of our countrymen.
As a citizen of this country, I know that you have a lot of responsibilities and things to do in order to make our country in good state Sir. So, I have some suggestions to decrease the possibilities of accidents because of calamities and to retain our natural resources. First, we the citizens who are using the natural resources must be responsible enough not to abused it. We must care for it because we are just the one who are benefited. And the second is the concerns about our country when calamities come. We must clean our surroundings oftenly in order not to block the canal holes or drainages where the water flows. because when the drainage holes are blocked, it may cause flood. And the government must visit the people living around or in the bodies of water like the rivers because their lives are not safe in living there. They might get a disease from the water.Lives are more important than other things so we must act now for our assurance.
I hope that you will grant or appreciate my suggestions Mr. President. And thank you for being a leader of our country and continue serving to our country. I wished that after you read this letter, you will make an act for those problems that I often observed in our country Sir.

                                                                                                       Respectfully your,
                                                                                                        ROELYN JOY F. PIANO
