4th State of the Nation Address
of President Aquino III

Here comes the time again. The time to know what is happening to our country. By the way, do you know what is the meaning of the “State of the Nation Address” and why the President do this? –If I were you, I will do some research now to be aware on this event.

The SONA is done every fourth Monday of July. The President must do this because everyone or every citizen has the right to know if what is going on in our country; whether it is on the “tuwid na daan” or opposite of it. In this SONA, we can hear the things that the President has done in his term and if his promises are done well. The fourth State of the Nation Address of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III started at exactly 4 o’clock in the afternoon. The congressmen and other guests wear elegant and native dresses. President Aquino III tackled about the jobs in our country to decrease the rate of unemployed. He focused on the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino program. While the SONA is going on, there are many happenings that are not expected to be happening. Outside, there are many rallyist who protested. And before the SONA starts, an unexpected scene happens. Rep. Imelda Marcos slipped because of rushing to attend the SONA of the President. His SONA last for one hour and thirty minutes which they said that this is the longest SONA of the President.

We, the citizens of this country must be aware if what is happening to our country. And we should watch the SONA of the President, which is his report for what he had done for our country and countrymen. We should be conscious of this report because it only happens once a year. So be AWARE!!!
